Matt + Amanda: Engagements

Can I just say that they were the funnest couple ever to get to shoot? Matt's from California and Amanda's from Texas, and you can totally tell. They're so cute together. I genuinely had a lot of fun shooting and editing these, so enjoy!

Family Vacation 2011

Lucia didn't exactly like the river...

Lucia Maria Hickman, my favorite baby on the planet.

My Sarabu! ^
Annnd my big brother. Love them both.

River trips at 1:30 AM. Winning.
Love her :)

The day we got back from Steubenville we immediately got in a car and drove like 4 hours to Wimberly, TX, to spend a week on the river. I just wanna say thanks to the Hickmans for asking me to come along, and I'm really lucky I get to babysit for them. And everyone who came along was so great. Hickmans, Alexanders, Vaughns, Becca, Slush, etc. On the way home we passed through Luling and found out there was a Watermelon Festival there starting that night and Jonathan decided we were gonna stop and stay for it. It was pretty great to watch a watermelon weighing competition, and see the Thump Queen coronated, and then see the greatest country cover band ever play live. I cant' wait for family vacation next year! :)

Steubenville on the Bayou 2011 & Franciscan LEAD

Shoe twins with Jonathan! Except his have a little more street cred...
One of our awesome leaders for the week, Tim!
Matt! Got to see him during the week cause he did Mercy Crew :)

Another amazing woman, Kristi.
Yeah...St Laurence will miss these two..
Suite mate, Shannon!
1 of 3 Jakes there that week...confusing..
Jake, Kim, Jake, Kim, Jake..

Basically what I did the whole 30 minute flight.
My song for summer 2011.

It's been a busy summer so far. The day I got back from Fort Worth, I shot a wedding, and then the next day I flew to New Orleans for a week long leadership retreat, put on by Franciscan University, and then on Friday the rest of my youth group arrived in Houma for this year's Steubenville on the Bayou conference. We were so busy during LEAD that I barely had my camera on me at all, but it was really great. I met some of the coolest people ever there, and I miss them! But I'm really lucky I have such an awesome parish to come back home to. Also, I always forget that the photos you select first will show up at the bottom of the post, so these will be out of chronological order, like most of my posts, sorry! ;)
